The new album What Came Before is now available to buy on the Music page. It will also be available to purchase as a download from iTunes shortly. Watch this space...

The album launch went brilliantly on Friday, thank you to everyone that came along and sent such lovely messages of support. It felt amazing to be playing the songs live and with such a great band of musicians. We all had a fantastic night.x

18 February 2012 - New Album Release & Live Launch

My new album What Came Before will be released on Friday 16 March.

I'm celebrating the launch with a special live event at Bristol's Halo Bar (141 Gloucester Road, Bristol, BS7 8BA; tel 0117 944 2504), on Friday 16 March (doors 8pm).
I'll be playing with a great band of local musicians assembled especially for that night and including Katherine Martin on the cello.
We'll be playing lots of the new songs and the album will be available to buy on the night.
This album has been a real labour of love and I'm very excited to finally be at this point. After 2 years of working on it a live launch seemed like the ideal way to give the album a great send-off.

Thanks to everyone who's supported and encouraged me through this whole process - I hope some of you can make it along on the 16th.

Oh, and there's a little taster on the music player of one of the new songs Chalk Marks in the Rain...

25 May 2011 - Update

Can't believe I haven't posted here since last year. Where does all the time go? New album is moving towards the final stages. Only cello left to record and then mixing, mastering, designing the album cover, duplicating it, packaging it...oh, quite a lot still left to do then! Watch this space...well, don't watch it that closely because I clearly can't be trusted to update it regularly. But you can check out the social networking links below because I really DO update those. Honest.

26 October 2010 - Twitter

23 October 2010 - New blog post

Hi, I've posted my latest blog all about the new album progress and including a video that I found really inspiring from Elizabeth Gilbert (Eat Pray Love author).
You can check it out on the Blog page here

If you like my website and you need a website of your own designing, building or revamping then I can do it for you. Just drop me an email and we can have a chat...

10 August 2010 - Music Player

I've had some feedback from peeps about the music player. There are 6 track clips loaded on it not just one - use the forward and reverse arrows to click between them.
Hope that helps and keep the feedback coming...

Welcome to the NEW Maddie Southorn website.

It's taken me a long time but here it is.
I've designed it, coded it and put it all together single-handed and I'm pretty damn proud of myself I can tell you!
I hope you like it.

It's all pretty self-explanatory - if you want to know more about the music follow the link to Music; to read my blog go to Blog; for links to all my other networks go to Links...you get the picture.

This is the News page and the place to visit first - it's where all the latest news will get posted and it will signpost you to everywhere else on the site.

There's also a music player on the main pages so you can have a listen as you browse.

If you spot any errors, if something doesn't work or if there's something that you'd like to see on the site that isn't here then get in touch and let me know.:info@maddiesouthorn.com
